Leo and Alejandra, two brilliant scientists, are on the verge of a revelation that could change the course of medicine. Their mission is to develop a revolutionary serum that will cure their loved ones from devastating diseases that have taken away their hope. However, as they dive into this challenge, they must also face their own personal demons, which drive them forward but also threaten to unravel everything.
Leo, a man marked by guilt and insecurity, faces the imminent death of his mother, who suffers from an incurable disease. This painful reminder of his personal failure pushes him to work tirelessly on the formula, seeking a solution that will redeem him. His obsession with saving her becomes the engine that drives him to push the boundaries of science, but it also makes him lose sight of emotional balance and his relationships with others.
On the other hand, Alejandra, the brilliant mind sharing the project with Leo, faces her own dilemma. Raised in a dysfunctional family, Alejandra struggles to overcome her fears of not being enough, of not living up to the expectations others have of her. Her desire to achieve something great is not only a professional need but also a form of personal redemption. The pressure to prove her worth becomes an emotional burden that pushes her to the limit of her endurance.
As the project progresses, both Leo and Alejandra find themselves trapped between ambition and personal sacrifices. Every step toward creating the serum seems to bring them closer to an unsettling truth, revealing secrets that could change the fate of everyone involved. As they struggle to maintain their personal relationships and not succumb to their insecurities, the line between obsession and the desire to help blurs, challenging their morality and their ability to make rational decisions.
