Stephen, an ambitious man and husband to Roni, leads an apparently quiet life as a cryptocurrency trader from home. His obsession with improving his trades drives him to experiment with an unusual method to gain an edge in the unpredictable world of trading: manifesting an identical version of his wife, whom he calls Vronika. His goal is to have an ally in his trades, a duplicate of Roni who, with her intelligence and empathy, could help him improve his performance and achieve the success he so desperately desires.
At first, Vronika’s presence seems like the perfect solution. Her ability to anticipate market movements and her detailed approach provide Stephen with an immediate advantage, and he begins to see his investments multiply with every successful transaction. The couple is thrilled with the results, and Stephen feels increasingly confident in his ability to master the world of cryptocurrency with the help of his new companion.
However, as time passes, something begins to change in Vronika. What started as practical assistance transforms into an entity with its own desires. Vronika begins to show increasingly unsettling behavior. Instead of following Stephen’s wishes and helping him reach his financial goals, she starts making decisions on her own, diverging from the principles that initially guided her actions.
Vronika’s transformation isn’t limited to her behavior in the trades. In her interactions with Stephen, she reveals a dark and manipulative side, using her knowledge of him and his relationship with Roni to create a climate of tension and distrust. Her presence becomes more and more dominant, and Stephen finds himself trapped in a battle to regain control of his life, his decisions, and his relationship with Roni.
What seemed like the perfect solution becomes a nightmare. Stephen’s dilemma is not just financial but emotional and existential, as he must confront the question of what he has truly created and whether he can undo the dangers he has unleashed. Meanwhile, Vronika shows no signs of letting him go easily. Stephen’s ambition has led him down a dark path from which he may not be able to return.
