Mortal Kombat

The movie Mortal Kombat introduces us to Cole Young, a mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter who makes a living by taking hits for money in underground fights, unaware that his fate is marked by a much deeper and more dangerous heritage. Cole is unaware of his ancestry or why Emperor Shang Tsung, the tyrant of the ominous Outworld, has sent his deadly champion, Sub-Zero, a Cryomancer with supernatural powers, to relentlessly hunt him down.

Facing the threat looming over him and his family, Cole decides to seek help and finds an unexpected ally in Sonya Blade. Following the guidance of Jax, a Special Forces commander who also bears the mysterious dragon mark—a sign that connects them both to an ancient legacy—Cole is led to a sacred temple. There, he meets Lord Raiden, an Elder God and protector of Earthrealm (the realm of Earth), who offers refuge to those who carry this special mark.

In this sanctuary, Cole begins rigorous training alongside legendary warriors such as Liu Kang, Kung Lao, and Kano, a rebellious mercenary with a dark past. These experienced fighters are prepared to confront the threat posed by Outworld and its champions in a war that will decide not only the fate of Earth but of the entire universe.
