Soul to Squeeze

Soul to Squeeze is not a conventional film. It is a unique cinematic experience that takes the viewer through the darkest and most fragmented corners of the human mind. The story centers on Jacob, a man deeply tormented by his own mental demons. Exhausted by his psychological suffering and desperate to find relief, Jacob voluntarily undergoes an experimental treatment. What initially appears to be a chance at healing soon turns into an introspective nightmare of unsettling proportions.

Instead of finding peace, Jacob becomes trapped in a mysterious house with a tunnel that leads directly into his subconscious. As he ventures deeper into this inner dimension, past and present begin to blur, memory becomes distorted, and the perception of time and reality starts to unravel. Each step on this journey brings him closer to confronting his deepest traumas, while the viewer accompanies him on a harrowing descent into his own psyche.

One of the most innovative aspects of Soul to Squeeze is its bold visual concept. The film begins in a narrow 4:3 aspect ratio, symbolizing Jacob’s restricted and confined mental state. As the story progresses and his perception expands, the frame slowly transforms—gradually opening up until it reaches a widescreen 2.35:1 format in the final scene.
