Paper Heart
Love can be a powerful force, capable of healing wounds and filling emotional voids. But what happens when that love is unattainable? For Scotland, a young woman who has spent much of her life searching for something or someone to bring her the happiness she so desperately longs for, fate seems to have placed yet another challenge in her path. She has found in Knight the perfect man—someone who, for the first time in a long while, gives her hope of filling the emptiness in her heart. However, there is an insurmountable obstacle in her way: Knight is engaged to another woman.
From the moment she met Knight, Scotland knew their connection was special. Every conversation, every shared glance convinced her even more that they were meant to be together. But reality stood between them. The presence of Knight’s fiancée turned every moment into a painful reminder that their love had no future. Despite this, Scotland clings to the possibility that, somehow, circumstances might change.
Scotland’s internal struggle is complex. She knows the right thing to do is to walk away, to avoid causing harm, and to respect Knight’s commitments. However, the heart rarely obeys reason. With each passing day, the temptation to confess her feelings grows stronger within her. But is it fair to fight for a love that is already promised to someone else?
While Knight seems unaware of the emotional turmoil consuming Scotland, she faces a crossroads. If she follows her feelings, she risks losing him forever—not only as a potential partner but also as a friend. But if she chooses to step away, the pain of loss may be unbearable.
