Minor Leaguer
In the competitive world of minor league hockey, challenges usually come from the ice. But for one player, the greatest obstacle lies off the rink. The arrival of a new team owner changes everything: a hockey legend whose name once adorned the walls of his childhood bedroom. However, meeting his idol is nothing like he imagined.
The player, well-versed in the adversities of the sport, now faces a more complex struggle: dealing with the outsized ego of the new owner. The legend, renowned for his feats on the ice, turns out to be an egocentric figure whose overwhelming presence stifles the team. For the players, the arrival of this former hockey star promised inspiration and leadership, but reality quickly clashes with expectations.
The new owner isn't just looking to relive his glory days through the team—he's determined to impose his vision, often overshadowing group dynamics and individual efforts. Tensions rise, and the protagonist begins to question the idealized image he had of his childhood hero. What was once a source of admiration and motivation becomes a figure seemingly more interested in preserving his own legacy than fostering the team's growth.
As the season progresses, the player finds himself caught in an emotional dilemma. On one hand, he's deeply disillusioned to discover that his idol is not the noble leader he once believed. On the other, he struggles to maintain balance within the team, resisting the growing influence of the owner while trying to preserve the cohesion needed to succeed in the league.
