On her 30th birthday, Eva’s best friends decide that it’s time for her to stop hiding behind her obsession and start living in the real world. They convince her to download a dating app, pushing her to take a chance on love, or at least on something resembling it. Reluctantly, Eva agrees, unsure of how her true-crime-obsessed personality will fit into the modern dating scene. But it isn’t long before she finds herself swiping left and right, trying to navigate the world of online dating.
As Eva gets to know the men she meets through the app, she finds herself dating three different guys at once. Each one seems promising in their own way, but none of them stand out as particularly special—until new details about a series of murders in her city start to emerge on her favorite true-crime podcast. The cases, which have been haunting the headlines for weeks, seem to have a chilling connection to the men she’s dating. The murders are attributed to a mysterious figure known only as the “Swipe Right Killer,” a serial murderer who has been targeting women after matching with them on dating apps.
Eva, ever the detective, begins to make connections between the details of the murders and her own experiences. She starts to notice certain patterns in the men she’s seeing—things that could point to one of them being the killer. As she listens to the podcast and digs deeper into the investigation, Eva starts to question everything she thought she knew about the men she’s dating. Could one of them really be the infamous "Swipe Right Killer"? And if so, how close is she to becoming his next victim?
The more Eva investigates, the more dangerous her obsession with the case becomes. Her own life is thrown into jeopardy as she starts to uncover unsettling truths about the men she’s dating. With time running out, she must use her knowledge of true crime and her instincts to figure out who the killer is before it’s too late.
