Mitchell Parker lies dead on a morgue table. In life, Parker was an ordinary man trapped in the dark world of debt collectors, a profession that surrounded him with all kinds of corrupt and dangerous people. Despite his life marked by misery and violence, he considered himself lucky until his fate took an unexpected turn.
During one of his routine visits to recover a debt, Mitchell makes an unexpected discovery. While searching the sofa of one of his clients, he finds $100,000 in cash, an amount that could change his life. However, this discovery marks the beginning of his descent into an even deeper spiral of despair and danger. Although the money could be his ticket to a new life, the reality is that it becomes a heavy burden that will haunt him until his last breath.
A dark past follows him, a legacy of bad decisions that links him to organized crime. The stolen money is not only a tangible asset but a curse that triggers a series of events that will put his life in jeopardy. The group of criminals he has stolen from won't take long to find out, and from that point on, Mitchell becomes the primary target of a fierce pursuit. As he tries to escape, the feeling of being a man marked by destiny consumes him.
What follows is a race against time. Mitchell is forced to use the money not only to save his life but also to try to redeem himself from his own demons. The idea of a better life crumbles in the face of the reality that there is no easy escape, no reward that will free him from his guilt and the enemies who are hunting him. In his struggle to escape his past and find peace, he faces his inevitable fate.
