Hildegart is conceived and raised by her mother, Aurora, with the vision of shaping her into the woman of the future—an exceptional intellect who would become one of Spain's most brilliant minds in the 1930s and a leading European authority on female sexuality. Aurora, inspired by radical progressive ideals, takes a hands-on approach to Hildegart’s upbringing, carefully molding her into a symbol of modernity and intellectual prowess. From an early age, Hildegart is immersed in an intense education that combines academic excellence with exposure to feminist and sexual reformist ideas. Aurora's ambition for her daughter goes beyond traditional schooling—she seeks to make Hildegart a trailblazer in advocating for women’s rights, sexual autonomy, and the dismantling of societal taboos.

As Hildegart matures, she gains recognition for her remarkable intellectual abilities and becomes a sought-after voice in European discussions about women's sexuality and liberation. However, the close, controlling relationship with her mother begins to strain, as Aurora's overwhelming influence starts to overshadow Hildegart's own identity. While Hildegart’s public persona continues to grow, the tension between her aspirations and her mother's obsessive vision for her future becomes increasingly complicated, leading to an unsettling clash of wills that will ultimately define her tragic fate.
