In the small Australian town of Upson Downs, a young girl named Annie and her loyal stray dog, Runt, face an unexpected challenge that could change their lives forever. The local farm, which has been in her family for generations, is in serious trouble. A prolonged drought has put the farm at risk, and without a way to turn things around, her family faces the prospect of losing everything they’ve worked so hard to maintain.

Determined to save the farm, Annie comes up with an ambitious plan: she and Runt must travel to London to compete in the prestigious Krumpets Dog Show, with hopes of winning the Agility Course Championship. Though it may sound like an impossible dream for a young girl and a stray dog, Annie is unwavering in her belief that this is their only chance to save her family’s livelihood.

The journey to London is full of obstacles. Not only do Annie and Runt have to learn the complexities of the agility course, which is known for being one of the most challenging in the world, but they must also navigate the cultural and logistical challenges of traveling from their rural home in Australia to the bustling city of London. Along the way, they encounter various competitors, some friendly and others less so, but through it all, their bond grows stronger.

Annie’s resilience, coupled with Runt’s growing skill on the agility course, becomes the heart of their story. As they face each challenge, they learn important lessons about friendship, perseverance, and the importance of never giving up. The competition at the Krumpets Dog Show is fierce, but Annie and Runt’s deep connection proves to be their greatest asset.
