In a world that blends the ordinary with the fantastical, two teenage elf brothers embark on a journey that will change their lives forever. Although their surroundings resemble any other modern suburb—with lined-up houses, paved streets, and school assignments—this alternate universe was once filled with magic. However, over time, technology replaced ancient enchantments, and magic became a distant, almost forgotten memory.
The protagonists of this story are Ian and Barley, two brothers with very different personalities. Ian is shy, insecure, and reserved, while Barley is outgoing, passionate, and a great enthusiast of ancient magical traditions. Despite their differences, they share a deep bond and a common loss: their father, who passed away when they were both very young. One day, on Ian’s 16th birthday, he receives a special gift that their father left for him and his brother—a magical staff, a wizard’s gem, and a spell that, if performed correctly, will allow them to see their father for just one day.
