Oblivion

In the year 2073, more than six decades after a devastating war between humanity and an invading alien force, Earth has become a planet in ruins. Although humankind ultimately won the conflict, the victory came at an enormous cost: half of the planet was destroyed, and the survivors were evacuated to Titan, a moon of Saturn. In this post-apocalyptic world, what remains of civilization struggles to extract the planet’s final natural resources before abandoning it for good.

Jack Harper, played by Tom Cruise, is one of the last remaining humans on Earth. A former Marine turned maintenance technician, he now works as a drone engineer, tasked with patrolling desolate zones and repairing automated defense units that guard the energy-extraction platforms. His life unfolds in mechanical routines, fragmented memories, and a lingering sense that something doesn’t quite add up.

Jack’s apparent stability is shattered the day he rescues a mysterious woman from a crashed spacecraft. The arrival of this unknown figure—who seems to know more about him than he does himself—triggers a series of events that force Jack to question everything he thought he knew: his mission, his past, and even his identity.
