A Korean-American family moves to a farm in Arkansas in search of their own American dream. This journey to the southern United States becomes a transformative experience that not only tests their ability to adapt to an unfamiliar environment but also challenges family bonds and the very notion of what it means to find a home.
The family members, initially excited by the promise of a better life, soon face the harsh reality of life in the Ozark Mountains. The rugged and challenging landscape, with its unpredictable weather and local customs, brings them into contact with unexpected difficulties. Despite the adversities, each family member experiences personal growth and faces the challenges from different perspectives.
The patriarch, who seeks to provide a more prosperous future for his family, is forced to balance his own expectations with the difficulties of the new environment. Meanwhile, the mother, who must adapt to a more isolated and rural life, struggles with nostalgia and the desire to maintain her traditions, but also discovers an inner strength that drives her to face each new challenge. The children, for their part, find themselves caught between two worlds: that of their parents, with their traditional values, and that of the local youth, whose customs and ways of life are foreign to them.
As they face the hardships of their new life, the family begins to realize that what truly makes a home is not just comforts or material dreams, but the bonds that strengthen between them. Coexistence, shared struggles, and accomplishments reveal the importance of family unity. The resilience of each member, along with the ability to adapt and overcome obstacles, shows that, beyond cultural or geographical differences, the true home lies in the relationships one nurtures.
