In the life of Riley, an ordinary teenager, her mind functions like a kind of headquarters where emotions play a fundamental role in how she experiences the world. Everything goes smoothly until, suddenly, Riley's headquarters is about to undergo an unexpected demolition: a wave of new emotions arrives to make their debut!

Until that moment, Riley's mind was managed by a set of emotions that knew each other well: Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust. Each had a specific role in decision-making and in Riley's emotional responses to everyday situations. Joy, as the leader of the operation, always tried to maintain optimism and good spirits in every situation. Sadness, though more melancholic, played an essential role in difficult moments. Anger, though explosive, handled unjust situations, while Fear and Disgust helped avoid dangers and unpleasant situations.

However, the established order of emotions in Riley's mind is disrupted when a new emotion arrives: Anxiety. This unexpected change destabilizes the entire functioning of the headquarters, as Anxiety not only comes with a completely different emotional weight but also brings new reactions and a different way of perceiving the world. What was once a well-defined system of emotions now faces the confusion of a feeling that seems more overwhelming and less predictable.

As Anxiety begins to make its place in the headquarters, it soon becomes evident that it is not alone. Other unknown emotions might be lurking, further intensifying Riley's uncertainty. The former emotional residents of her mind, though used to working together in harmony, feel insecure and bewildered by the arrival of these new feelings. The chaos grows as the emotions try to understand their role in this new scenario and how they can work together to ensure Riley functions properly.
