10-year-old Finn never imagined he’d leave sunny California for a cold, gloomy house in Maine. But when his family is forced to relocate, he quickly discovers that their new home is nothing like the one he’s leaving behind. The old house, with its creaky floors and dark corners, looks like something straight out of a scary movie, and Finn can’t shake the feeling that it’s haunted.

Convinced that ghosts are lurking in the shadows, Finn decides to take matters into his own hands. Using all his creativity and resourcefulness, he sets up a series of elaborate traps, hoping to catch the ghost that he’s sure is haunting the house. Each trap is more outrageous than the last, but Finn is determined to prove that his fears are real.

One day, Finn and his younger sister find themselves home alone while their parents are stuck across town. It’s the perfect opportunity for Finn to test his ghost-catching contraptions. However, things take an unexpected turn when his traps end up catching something much more dangerous than a ghost. A group of burglars, who have targeted the house for a robbery, trigger Finn’s homemade traps instead.

As the thieves break into the house, Finn quickly realizes that he’s not dealing with the supernatural—he’s facing a real-life emergency. With the burglars unaware of the traps waiting for them, Finn must act fast to protect his sister and defend his home. His elaborate ghost-catching devices now become his only hope in outsmarting the intruders, leading to a thrilling and chaotic adventure.

With the burglars closing in, Finn must rely on his quick thinking and bravery to outwit them and keep his sister safe. The traps that were meant to catch a ghost now serve a very different purpose, and Finn soon learns that his imagination might not have been so far off after all. The house may not be haunted by spirits, but it is full of surprises, and sometimes the real danger is much more frightening than anything he could have imagined.

As the day unfolds, Finn discovers that courage and resourcefulness come in all sizes—and sometimes, you don’t need to be an adult to be a hero. With a little help from his sister, Finn faces down the burglars and learns that even in the scariest situations, bravery can make all the difference.

In the end, Finn’s wild adventure shows him that while a haunted house may not always be what it seems, the real heroes are the ones who rise to the challenge, no matter how spooky or dangerous the situation may be.
