9-year-old Alex Pruitt is stuck at home with the chicken pox, feeling miserable and alone. But things take an unexpected turn when Alex unknowingly becomes the keeper of a top-secret microchip hidden inside a toy car. This mix-up happens after a group of spies, on a mission to recover the chip, mistakenly think Alex has it.
As the spies close in on Alex's house, he quickly realizes that he’s the target of their dangerous plot. With no one around to help and no way to call for help, Alex must rely on his quick thinking and resourcefulness to protect the microchip—and himself. The young boy transforms his house into a fortress, using everyday items to set up ingenious traps and obstacles to thwart the spies' attempts to break in.
Now, Alex is not just a sick kid trying to get through the day—he's a brave defender, doing everything he can to keep the secret safe. As the spies get closer, Alex must stay sharp, outwit the intruders, and make sure the microchip doesn’t fall into the wrong hands.
