In the vast universe of superheroes, few characters have caused as much chaos as Hancock. Unlike the typical heroes admired by society, Hancock is a man with extraordinary powers but a self-destructive attitude and a cynical demeanor that have made him one of the most unpopular individuals in Los Angeles. While his intentions might be good, the outcomes are usually disastrous—destroyed buildings, wrecked streets, and citizens fed up with his impulsive methods. This is the starting point of a story that blends action, dark humor, and redemption.
Hancock’s life takes an unexpected turn when he meets Ray Embrey, an idealistic public relations expert who sees in him not only a chance to advance his own career, but also the opportunity to turn the antihero into someone worthy of admiration. Embrey proposes a radical plan: Hancock should voluntarily surrender to the authorities and serve time in prison for the damage he’s caused. The logic behind this strategy is simple but risky—only when the world starts to miss him will it begin to appreciate him.
Against all odds, the plan works. Hancock’s absence creates a void in the city, leading the public to reconsider his value. At the same time, Hancock embarks on a journey of personal change while behind bars, learning to control his temper and understand the consequences of his actions. What initially seemed like a mere publicity stunt turns into a genuine transformation.
