In a plot full of emotion and tension, the daughter of a British prison governor returns to her country after completing her studies at a prestigious girls' school in the United States. This young woman, coming from a strictly disciplined background with a high social status, faces a new challenge that will shake her life as she knew it.
Her return is not limited to a family visit or reintegration into the social life she left behind. As she re-enters her home, she quickly becomes intrigued by the place that has been central to her life since birth: the prison where her father works as governor. This institution, so important to her family’s life, has always been surrounded by an atmosphere of mystery and tension. Despite the privileged life she has led, the young woman feels an increasing need to understand the world of the prisoners, the dynamics within its walls, and the stories of those who are serving time.
Driven by an almost uncontrollable impulse, the young woman begins to follow and closely observe some of the inmates, an act that defies the norms of her social status and her family’s expectations. Throughout this process, she finds herself immersed in a series of encounters and situations that not only make her question power structures, but also her own identity and the limits of her privilege. The story explores how her internal struggle between family duty, personal curiosity, and social tensions becomes a transformative experience.
