Encanto

Encanto (2021) tells the magical story of the Madrigal family, an extraordinary family living hidden in a magical house deep in the mountains of Colombia. In this vibrant and colorful town, every child in the Madrigal family has been blessed with a unique magical gift that reflects their personality and role within the community. However, Mirabel, the protagonist, is the only family member without any special power, which makes her feel different and left out.

When the magic surrounding their enchanted home begins to fade mysteriously, Mirabel discovers that she might be the family’s last hope. Through her courage, empathy, and determination, she embarks on an adventure to protect the magical legacy of the Madrigals and bring her family together during a time of crisis.

Directed by Jared Bush and Byron Howard, with story contributions from Lin-Manuel Miranda, this animated film blends fantasy, comedy, and family drama to deliver a heartfelt story full of emotion, vibrant music, and important messages about identity, love, and self-acceptance.
