Dismal

Dana is struggling in her Biology class and is in danger of failing. In an effort to improve her grades, she is given the opportunity to attend an extra credit assignment alongside several of her classmates. The task leads them into the heart of the Great Dismal Swamp, a vast and remote wilderness known for its dangerous wildlife and eerie atmosphere. Despite its beauty, the swamp is a place where both life and death coexist in a delicate balance.

As Dana and her group venture deeper into the swamp, they remain cautious of the immediate dangers that lurk around them. Bears, venomous snakes, and lurking alligators are just a few of the threats they must be mindful of. However, as they continue on their journey, they remain unaware that the true peril does not lie in the creatures of the swamp, but in something far more sinister.

Not far from their campsite is a run-down cabin that holds a dark secret. The cabin’s lone occupant, a mysterious and dangerous figure, sits at the top of the food chain in this desolate environment. This individual has a grotesque and terrifying appetite for human flesh, and as the group unknowingly draws closer to his domain, they begin to realize that they are being watched. The swamp is not only teeming with wild animals; it is also home to a predator far more human, with a deadly thirst for survival.

The situation quickly escalates as Dana and her classmates must navigate the dangers of the swamp, all while realizing that their lives are at the mercy of a sadistic human hunter. With time running out, they must find a way to survive the deadly environment and escape before they become the next victims of the flesh-hungry inhabitant of the swamp.
