Deep within the world of martial arts lies a legend known by few and witnessed by even fewer: the Kumite. Held in secrecy every five years, this underground tournament brings together the world’s greatest and most feared fighters in a no-rules combat where defeat can mean death. More than just a competition, the Kumite is a rite of honor, endurance, and supremacy—reserved only for the most lethal and disciplined warriors on the planet.

Within this hidden universe emerges Frank Dux, a man as enigmatic as he is determined. Of American origin and trained in Eastern martial arts, Dux works occasionally for the CIA, though his true ambition goes far beyond espionage or patriotic duty. His goal is clear: to become the first Westerner to compete in the Kumite, an honor that, until then, had been reserved exclusively for Asian fighters. Against all odds, he manages to enter the tournament, defying both established rules and the cultural expectations surrounding him.
