A Trip Elsewhere

Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, four strangers are brought together by extraordinary circumstances when they decide to ingest a record dose of LSD. This event, driven by anxiety and the desire to escape the tensions brought on by the global health crisis, becomes the catalyst for a surreal experience that changes their lives forever. As the drug begins to take effect, the four find themselves trapped in a shared psychedelic dream, a distorted and dreamlike space where the boundaries of reality blur, and time seems to disappear.

In this world of hallucinations, each of the protagonists faces their own fears, insecurities, and emotional traumas, which manifest in disconcerting and often unsettling ways. The surreal landscapes and kaleidoscopic images reflect the internal chaos that each one experiences while searching for answers to their deepest questions about life, death, love, and redemption. The bonds between them, though initially fragile and disconnected, begin to strengthen as they share their anxieties and seek mutual understanding amid the psychedelic confusion surrounding them.

This psychedelic journey is not only an exploration of the ego and altered perceptions, but also a reflection on the need to find comfort in times of despair. Throughout their journey, the protagonists are forced to confront their own fears and free themselves from the emotional burdens that have been holding them back, with the hope of achieving some form of catharsis. The process of redemption becomes the key to returning to reality, a space that seems distant and strange as they progress in their collective experience.

The Covid-19 pandemic, as a backdrop, adds a layer of existential anxiety to the story.
