David and Benji, two cousins with very different personalities, find themselves reunited for an unexpected journey through Poland. The trip, initially planned as a simple tour, is meant to honor the memory of their beloved grandmother, whose life and legacy have been a cornerstone of their family’s history. However, what begins as a nostalgic and sentimental excursion soon turns into an emotional rollercoaster as old tensions between the cousins begin to surface.
Despite their shared history, David and Benji have never quite seen eye to eye. David, the more serious and reserved of the two, carries the weight of family expectations on his shoulders, while Benji is carefree and often seen as the black sheep of the family, someone who tends to avoid responsibility at all costs. Their contrasting personalities have always led to a certain amount of friction, but this trip forces them to confront unresolved issues from their past.
As they travel through Poland, visiting places significant to their grandmother's life, their interactions become increasingly charged. Whether it's navigating the small, intimate spaces of their family's history or arguing over the significance of the trip itself, the cousins find themselves revisiting old wounds and disagreements they thought were long buried. In the process, they come to realize that their grandmother’s life and legacy hold deeper meaning than either of them had initially understood, forcing them to reevaluate their own relationship with each other and with their family's past.
The journey through Poland becomes not just a physical one, but an emotional pilgrimage as David and Benji struggle to reconcile their differences. As they learn more about their grandmother's strength and resilience, they begin to understand the importance of family ties and the complexities that come with them.
