After the terrifying events they experienced in their home, the Abbott family now faces new horrors in the vast outside world. What began as a struggle to survive in the privacy of their home, away from the creatures that hunt by sound, turns into an even greater nightmare when they are forced to leave the safety of their refuge and venture into the unknown.

Crossing the threshold of their house, the Abbotts quickly discover that the creatures threatening their lives are not the only dangerous forces lurking in the darkness. On their journey through the outside world, the family members must face new challenges beyond the monsters they’ve learned to fear. The threat of humans, the hostile environment, and the unpredictability of their situation heighten the tension as they struggle to find shelter and resources to survive.

Throughout their journey, the family is forced to confront not only their fear and desperation but also the need to adapt to a world completely different from the one they once knew. Family relationships are put to the test, and solidarity among the Abbott family members is more important than ever. Facing a universe filled with deadly creatures is only part of the story: the greatest danger may come from what lurks within the very humanity they once knew.
